Here She Is!!!

Ok, so I've totally been lagging on updating my blog but I've been kinda busy... Ashlyn Jacqueline Tilton made her debut on 9.01.09 at 10:44am weighing 7.8lbs and 19 1/2 inches long. She is absolutely perfect and a dream come true! It was a long, tiring labor but in the end she arrived perfect, alert and ready to nurse - ha! She is doing great and is such a lover! Snuggling her is my favorite past time and I could (and almost do) snuggle her all day long. She is breastfeeding great and I'm finally getting the hang of it. At her doc appointment @ 2 days old, she had only lost 4 oz. 6 days later @ 9 days old, she weighed 7.12lbs. That means she gained 8oz. in 6 days - that's wonderful! Dr. Ball praised us and said that her weight gain was wonderful and we are lucky - yeah! Ashlyn loves to eat (just like her parents) so I was pretty sure we'd be good in that department. Matt started school last week and it was sad to see him off to work. When he gets home, Ashlyn and I were sooo happy! Although Ashlyn's only 14 days old, we've been going on walks, out to lunch, and I even showed her what Fashion Island was and took her on her first shopping trip. Getting out of the house is nice and having a little side-kick with me is so fun. Here are some picture of our little princess -- she's so dang cute!
