The Past Few Weeks...

Blogging these days seems near impossible...but, I have so many wonderful pictures and stories I want to share that I need to really keep this up. These past weeks (since my last post) have really flown by. Ashlyn just gets cuter everyday. She is now smiling and it just melts my heart. She always smiles in the morning when I'm changing her. I sing her the "good morning" song, and she just lights up. I'm going to video tape is soon because it's too cute! She has become so much more alert and responds to sounds, our voices (kind of) and is cooing all the time. She LOVES her Einstein matt and will play laying on it for a long time (like 30 minutes). She just kicks her legs and arms, hits the hanging toys and even started sway back and forth. The other day she rolled over -- but it was a total fluke. I layed her on her tummy for tummy time and I layed her on her arm, and there she went. I also think she's going to start sucking her thumb. She's been sucking on her hand and I think it's just a matter of days until she finds that thumb. Part of my wants her to be able to self soothe (she doesn't really take a binkie), but then I know it's going to be hard to ween her off that habit when she's older. We'll see... Everyday just gets better and she is truly a dream come true.
