I'm almost 32 weeks and am feeling very pregnant these days. I have felt awesome pretty much this entire pregnancy (besides being nauseous in the first trimester). I have had energy, an appetite but haven't gained too much weight (last visit on Friday, I've gained 18 pounds so far), I've just felt all around good. But then month 7 hit and I started to really feel pregnant - tired, achy and I have to pee literally every 20 minutes - if that! My legs have also really been achy at night and it wakes me up - I have to put pillows under my legs and sleep with them elevated. I've been trying to drink a big glass of oj before bed and sometimes this helps...
At my last appointment (end of week 30), I had an ultrasound taken to see what position the baby was in because my doc didn't think his head was down yet - and it's not...he is transverse which means he is horizontal - across my tummy. She wasn't too worried as it's still early and he could have just been on his way down. But, as he gets bigger over the next weeks, it will be harder for him to turn so we (Matt and I) have decided to do some things to help him turn. I am doing some "turning" exercises every day and Matt has been talking to him every night "down there" hoping to guide him with his voice. I also have been going to chiropractor about once a month, but have decided to go every week and also get a prego massage every week. My chiro recommended another doctor/acupuncturist/masseuse who specializes in helping babies turn. I am going to see her next week to see what she can help with too. On this website called spinningbabies.com, it states that a lot of times when a woman carries another child dominantly on one hip, the baby in the womb will put his head on the opposite side to protect himself. Then the ligaments on the side where the other child is being carried, get weak and the baby in the womb gets 'cozy' where they are. This makes total sense - I carry Ashlyn on my left hip and baby boy T's head is on my right.
I feel pretty confident that he will turn - if he hasn't already. I have been feeling more kicks up by my ribs and I'm not feeling a huge bulge on my right side anymore so I have a feeling he did turn - but, I don't have an appointment again for another week or so - so I am going to continue to keep doing what I'm doing.
We are getting really excited at the thought of holding our baby in 2 months (give or take). I have his baby 'sprinke' coming up on Sunday which I am sooo excited about! Also, my work is throwing me a baby shower at the end of the month.
Ashlyn is showing more and more interest in "baby" and she lately will just stare at my belly. She even runs up to me and pulls my shirt up to see my growing tummy and protruding belly button (which she likes to push and then laughs, laughs, laughs). I know she will be such a sweet, big sister!!
