POTTY TRAINED (July 2011) - 22 Months

Ashlyn was officially potty trained last summer and this was a HUGE accomplishment!  Ever since she was 12 months we had a potty out in the bathroom and she was very interested in it.  Then we had Cade and everything we read and was told was to NOT try until she was acclimated with him being around.  Since I was on maternity leave for 4 months, I really wanted to do it while I was home. We tried and dedicated a week to staying home but it was really hard.  The hardest part was if I was nursing Cade and she had to go, I had to walk with Cade while nursing to help her.  Then she was get upset because I was still holding Cade.  So, we tabled it for a about a month and still talked about it all the time.  Then, one day she woke up and said, "Mommy, no more diapies", and that was it.  Of course she had a few accidents but when she got it, she got it.  She was able to tell when she had to go both number 1 and 2 and she's been great ever since!!
