What a Christmas Eve!

By the time you all read this, I will be in my second trimester! I wanted to start blogging my journey from the very beginning so here is how it all began (well, from when we found out we were pregnant, I'm pretty sure you all took health class and know how it "began")... I've always loved the Holidays- spending quality time with family and friends. This Christmas was an exceptionally special one for us. On Christmas Eve, our dearest friends, The Walters, welcomed their first child to the world- Paxton Thatcher Walters. He is beautiful and perfect and we are so excited to meet him! So this day was one to celebrate! That afternoon, I decided to take a pregnancy test and found out Matt and I were indeed pregnant!! With Christmas being the next day, we could not have imagined a better gift. Of course I wanted to tell my family the good news that night but Matt convinced me to wait until Christmas day. So, we did and well worth the wait (only a 12 hour wait...I'm bad with waiting)! We wrapped the pregnancy test (yes, we washed it first) and had my family open it at the very end of opening gifts. My Dad sat there in shock and my Mom kept saying "really, really, really!!" Kelsey just ran up and gave Matt and I a huge hug and was so excited at the thought of being an aunt (she hope's it a girl so she can dress her up)! Later that day we had Butch, Matt's dad, open it as well and he too was so happy to be a Grandpa soon! Matt and I are so excited and are ready for this crazy adventure!
